Record on your phone, or bring your Plaud

Every conversation, turned into what you need to do.

Record a meeting, call or class on your phone or computer (or bring your Plaud recorder). ELI-Brief sorts it into a to-do list for every customer, class and project. It plans your day around your calendars and asks before it changes anything. The AI that reads your recordings runs on our own hardware, never a cloud AI, and your account is its own encrypted, walled-off space.

How it works

From recording to plan, without retyping a thing.

1

Record as usual

Tap Record on your iPhone (it keeps going with the screen locked) or in your browser. Have a Plaud recorder? It syncs like it always has, and ELI-Brief picks up each new recording within minutes.

2

ELI-Brief sorts it, privately

An AI model on our own hardware reads each one and files it in the right folder: the to-dos you committed to, what you're waiting on from others, decisions, wins and facts worth keeping.

3

You approve your day

Each morning ELI-Brief suggests when to do each to-do around the meetings on all your calendars. Nothing is added until you tap approve.

Folders and to-dos

A to-do list for every part of your life.

Each recording lands in a folder (a customer, a ministry, a class) inside a category like Business, Church, Personal or PhD. Every folder keeps its own list, from Overdue to Later, plus what you're waiting on from others.

  • Plaud's summary, the full transcript and ELI-Brief's notes side by side
  • Filed it in the wrong place? Tap Move and its to-dos follow
  • When a later recording sounds like a to-do is done, ELI-Brief asks you
A meeting note in ELI-Brief: summary, filed under a folder with a Move button, and the to-dos it produced
ELI-Brief's calendar: one week across connected calendars, with suggested times for to-dos to approve or skip

Calendars and planning

All your calendars, and a plan you approve.

Connect any number of Google accounts, Microsoft 365 and Zoho. The same meeting on two calendars shows once. Plan my day fits your to-dos around it, adds prep before customer calls and follow-ups for what you're waiting on.

  • Nothing goes on a calendar until you approve it
  • Send a to-do to a shared calendar, like the family one, with a title you write
  • A reminder on each due date and a morning digest on your phone

Wins and recaps

See what you actually got done.

Wins gathers what you finished, the decisions made and the meetings held, folder by folder. One tap writes a weekly recap for a manager, a board or yourself.

And everything around your meetings.

Files

Upload Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF or text. ELI-Brief summarizes each one and files it beside your notes.

Lectures and study notes

Lecture recordings and videos are transcribed privately, never by a cloud service. Readings and lectures get study notes: key ideas, terms, methods and questions.

Ask your recordings

Ask “what did Dana say about the phones?” and get an answer drawn from your own recordings and files.

reMarkable PDFs

Tablet-sized PDFs of today, your to-do lists and study notes, with checkboxes and room to write.

Quick notes

Type or dictate a note between meetings. ELI-Brief files it and pulls out the to-dos, like any recording.

Export anything

A zip of everything, one category or chosen folders: Markdown notes, lists, transcripts and your original files.

Translate and share

Send a meeting’s summary and to-dos to someone in Spanish, French, Chinese, Arabic, Hindi or 18 other languages, translated privately.

Listen, in your own voice

Hear any note or recap read aloud in a natural voice, or in yours from a 15-second sample. In English or the language you translated it into.

Privacy

Private by design, not by promise.

Your conversations are the most private thing you own. ELI-Brief is built so they stay yours.

No cloud AI

An open model on hardware we run reads your recordings. Nothing is sent to an AI company, and nothing you record trains anything.

Your own encrypted space

Each account has its own AES-256 encrypted database with its own key, in its own locked-down container, walled off from every other customer.

No open ports

Our servers aren't exposed to the internet. Everything arrives through Cloudflare's encrypted tunnel, and only the sign-in gateway is reachable.

Two-step sign-in, always

A password and a code from your authenticator app, every time a new device signs in. Breached passwords are refused and wrong guesses lock the account.

Locked when you step away

Face ID when you open the app and after a few minutes away. Lose a phone and sign it out from any other device at once.

You approve every change

Nothing is added to a calendar or marked done without your OK.

Security-tested in four adversarial review rounds; every finding is fixed and covered by an automated test. Every sign-in and account change is kept in a tamper-evident audit log, and everything is backed up nightly, encrypted.

Phone and computer

Use it anywhere. Keep it yours.

In any web browser

Sign in on any computer for the full app, with a sidebar. Your iPhone and your browsers stay in step.

Questions

Does ELI-Brief send my recordings anywhere?

Recordings you make in the app go straight to your own encrypted space on our servers; with a Plaud recorder, ELI-Brief fetches them from your Plaud account. They're turned into text on our own hardware, and the recording itself is deleted once it's transcribed. The AI that reads them runs on our own hardware: nothing goes to an AI company. Calendar changes go only to calendars you connect, and only when you approve them.

Do I need a recorder?

No. Record right in the iPhone app or in your web browser. If you already have a Plaud recorder, connect it and its recordings come in too. You can also add typed or dictated notes, files and lecture videos.

Which calendars work?

Google Calendar (as many accounts as you like), Microsoft 365 and Outlook.com, and Zoho Calendar.

Can anyone at ELI-Brief read my notes?

Your notes live in your own encrypted database. Our support tools work on your account (unlocking it, or resetting your authenticator once we've confirmed it's you), not on your notes, and every action they take is recorded in an audit log. You can export everything, or delete your account, at any time.

How does the free trial work?

Choose monthly or yearly and add a card. ELI-Brief emails you a link to create your account, and you have 14 days to use everything. You're charged only when the trial ends, and you can cancel before then from Settings in ELI-Brief on the web.

What happens if I cancel?

You keep ELI-Brief until the end of the period you've paid for. After that your account is paused, not deleted: your notes and to-dos are kept for 60 days in case you come back, and you can export them. After 60 days they're deleted for good.

Is there an Android app?

Not yet. On Android, use ELI-Brief in your phone's web browser: same account, same sign-in.

Is ELI-Brief made by Plaud?

No. ELI-Brief is an independent product by Ellis AI Labs. It works with Plaud recordings through your own Plaud account.
